There are often a number of purposes to day-to-day normal items like a tea towel can dry up utensils in addition to guardhands from burning when carrying plates and a can of beer may be used for alcoholic drinking reasons, and also polish furniture. As with many things in life, some people attempt to break the mould to grab attention and also make headlines. But one person has decided to be more unusual and use hair extensions for a completely wacky new point, other than toextend natural hair. The dress maker from the well-liked Channel 4 programme ‘My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding’ has bizarrelymade a wedding gown from human hair extensions. Thelma Madine has shot to fame ever since the tv series was launched as she claims to be the leading seamstress for all of the travellers and gypsies across the United Kingdom. Now the ‘fairy godmother’ has produced some bridal wear that takes OTT (Over the Top) to a whole new level.

The strange dress has been created using two hundred and fifty metres of hair pieces and is now valued at a tremendous£50,000. The human locks frock needed a group of around eight dressmakers and hairdressers to produce the bright red colourful gown. The wedding gown weighs an astonishing 15 stone, is a size 6 and Madine is hoping that the pricey itemwill be picked up by controversial star Lady Gaga. The ‘Born This Way’ singer has created a stir not that long ago by wearing outrageous and grotesque outfits made entirely out of meat and one just like Kermit the Frog from hit Televisionprogramme The Muppets. So now the popular UK seamstress is longing for Gaga to carry on her trademark style and alsowear the one of a kind dress made entirely out of clip in hair extensions.

The unusual wedding gown was made through collaboration with a hair stylist called Ryan Edwards from hair salonVoodou and it used tens of thousands of individual hair wefts and different hairpieces like Remi hair extensions or evenclip in fringes. The exclusive style, which took more than twelve days to create, also consists of 1500 crystals and 12 underskirts. The bridal wear was crowned the winner when it was exhibited at the Alternative Miss Liverpool pageant in Liverpool. But it is not the only hair-raising outfit that has ever been made. Back in 2010 a tunic was created in Vietnam from one million metres of human hair Remi hair extensions and it came complete with a matching hat.

This occurrence is a very crazy use of pre bonded hair extensions as normally Brits use them to elongate their ownnatural hair on their head as opposed to wearing them on their own body. Create fabulous length with some feather hair extensions much like brand ambassador Sam Friars from the hit reality television show ‘The Only Way Is Essex’. Whether you like long curly hair or possibly a lengthy straight mane, make sure you wear the flip in hair extensions on top of yourhead. Budding fashionistas can co-ordinate the remi cachet hair extensions with their current hair colour so it fitscompletely.

While the world shifts and so does the way many people work, there have been a number of trends growing in office and workplace design to help keep employees happy and boost output.

Lots of small business is now based from home and people can pick their own home office furniture and design of the room, but for those companies which find that this is not a viable option, they have taken to replacing old fashioned and often uncomfortable office desks and office chairs to promote well-being amongst employees.

In addition to standard office desks and office chairs, it is becoming more common to place furniture for example couches and comfortable chairs, as well as items including pool tables and video game consoles or machines, to break up the room and make sure it doesn't look like just row after row of computer desks along with other office furniture.

Modern designs are often used for boardroom tables, with materials such as glass now extremely popular for meeting rooms. Also the office furniture found in the reception area often features more modern designs and reception furniture can now include a bespoke reception desk, sofas and modern tables to give perfect first impression to clients and visitors who enter into the premises as it implies that a company is modern and forward-thinking.

Even though modern looking office furniture is quite popular and can often be ideal for companies working in industries for example technology and the media, more established companies might wish to spend money on antique reproduction office furniture. Antique office desks and traditional swivel office chairs in many cases are used in the offices of management and stylish reproduction boardroom tables in many cases are present in meeting rooms.

Other commercial premises have also been modified in recent years. Hotel furniture has developed and become much more affordable as consumers count on a higher level of quality from their overnight accommodation. This means that comfort and luxury isn’t just restricted to top end 5 star hotels - small hotels and B&Bs now offer contemporary designs and more magnificent beds and other hotel furniture as guests expect much more for their money.

Location and price were once the key in choosing a place to bed down for the night but the rise of online booking and the large amount of accommodation indicates that guests are able to be more picky and if a hotel doesn't adhere to a certain style or they don't like the hotel furniture, they have the choice to simply look elsewhere.

It’s not just the rooms that have reaped the benefit from new developments in hotel furniture; the reception of any type of accommodation now features modern reception furniture to give a good impression to guests when they get into the building. As well as contemporary style reception desks, many hotel lobbies also offer welcoming and comfy furniture such as sofas and tables, so visitors feel right at home as soon as they arrive.

It is of course not just commercial premises which are applied for business purposes, and as more people work in freelance and contractor opportunities, working from home is becoming more usual so many families now have a room in their home filled with home office furniture for example office desks, bookshelves and computer desks which were previously only found in the office. With the growth of remote access, Wi-Fi and laptop and tablet computers, we might see more popular working from home in the foreseeable future, so getting a room of home office furniture in your house could soon become normal rather than the exception.

New research by a charitable organisation discovered that 12 million people in Britain are being affected by allergies caused by their own house, with mattresses and beds being the biggest culprit due to house dust mite collected within the material.

Allergy UK found out that a large amount of people are affected by dust mites, pets, mould and cleaning products, and these allergies are more problematic in the through winter due to people using central heating. 59% of people which suffer from allergic reactions state that the conditions are worse in the bedroom, as the heat often provides a perfect nest for dust mites. The average bed may be home to two million dust mites, and the typical pillow doubles in weight over a six month period as a result of dust mite faeces, showing the importance of frequently cleaning and replacing your bedding and the bed itself.

Homeowners that are looking to change the beds in their home have some of possibilities open to them to, so it's important to fully research what type of mattresses, beds and bed frames you want within your house, especially if you are susceptible to allergies.

Experts advise that you should improve your single mattresses and double mattresses at least every 8 - 10 years, whereas at present 13% the public have had their current mattress for 11 years or more. People who have problems with allergies should consider investing in allergy protectors for their homes or buying items such as memory foam mattresses which are not as likely to result in allergy issues - nevertheless, because memory foam mattresses keep heat much better than traditional mattresses some people with skin allergies will find that they will have a reaction, so it's vital to spend time investigating into the perfect mattresses for your preferences.

Whilst changing their mattresses, many people choose to change the double and single beds around their home. New trends mean that there are a broad range of cheap beds accessible which fit any style of home, so whether you’re shopping for traditional wooden beds, stylish leather beds or affordable metal beds, you can get one that properly suits your home.

More traditionally furnished homes often choose wooden beds for an antique looking style, and with both double and single beds available these could be functional for the master suite, children’s bedrooms or guest rooms. Wooden beds have been developed over the last few years and there are alternatives available which includes sleigh beds, four poster beds and frames with storage drawers which mimic divan beds, so you can uncover the best one to perfectly compliment your décor.

A contemporary bedroom will often be more suited to a bed made from more contemporary material, for instance metal beds or leather beds. Metal beds are available in a number of designs, from elegantly and stylish specially designed frames featuring ornate work, to more practical and affordable designs. By comparison, leather beds usually only come in a few unique styles but are accessible in colours such as black, brown, white and even red and pink. The wonderful choice accessible with the different materials, types and colours in modern beds suggest that everyone can now find the money for to have the perfect bed to stop issues with allergies and make sure they get a perfect night’s sleep!

There is normally a spike in repairing uPVC gutters following harsh wintry weather conditions.

Experts are predicting the UK to see temperatures in a freefall and severe snow and ice this season and that's why Fascia Expert is informing all homeowners to check their roof gutters ahead of the chilly climate starts.

The build-up of ice over Christmas time in December and January may lead to new fascias having to be set up to the property in addition to soffits and cladding. But by getting ready in advance you can steer clear of a costly repair bill or a full replacement, so make contact with fasciaexpert.co.uk now.

uPVC is one of the best materials for fascias and soffits as opposed to wood it doesn’t rot, warp or suffer from discolouration but similar to all house items they can defect due to usage. But www.fasciaexpert.co.uk can put in finishes that mimic wood to fit with the style and ensemble of the property, so get ready for the dismal British winter and make sure your home is functional.

It will end up costing you in the long term by not preparing as the underneath can rot and ultimately result in an costly replacement job. In the current difficult economic times, homeowners can save the pennies and hardship by correcting faults presently there and then rather than leaving them for future misery. And once installed, uPVC products need no maintenance for up to 40 years just a simple clean from time to time; so you should put a little bit of effort in now to dodge expected expenditures.

It could be something we have all grown to take for granted, however for many years getting light into our homes was not as easy as it is today and meant that humans had to rise with the sun and go to bed when it got dark, instead of being able to take charge of their own lives

Fire was one of the earliest forms of lighting and over the years humans discovered ways to make this light source more mobile and making it possible to be used indoors. Flickering oil table lamps were one of the only ways to light your home for hundreds of years, and adequate lighting was something frequently restricted to the rich as the fuels included olive oils, sesame oils and fish oils, which poorer families would end up eating when times were hard.

Gas lighting was developed in the 18th century and this soon grew being well-liked in homes and as outdoor lighting in the streets of cities around the globe. It was initially set up in London, but soon started appearing across Europe and the USA, as well as other cities throughout the UK.

But it wasn't long until the gas lights soon became obsolete and were replaced by newer lighting; electric lighting. This is the type of outdoor lighting we see The outdoor lighting we see today are of this variety, although the style has been modified since then, but several places still preserve gas lighting to create a more nostalgic and historic effect.

These days, modern lighting is available in a number of forms so we can light up all the rooms of our homes and are no longer restricted by the hours of daylight. One important area which has seen significant improvements is bathroom lighting. As a result of amount of water in the room and the risks of electrics, designers have designed many varieties of bathroom lighting to help keep the room full of light without putting us at danger. From bathroom wall lighting to bathroom ceiling lighting, we can bathe in total safety without risk of electrocution.

Modern ceiling lighting is also popular in locations other than the bathroom. Spotlights and other kinds of ceiling lights are often found in modern kitchens as they can allow light to be focused on particular areas that is well suited for cooking.

In addition to increasing our homes, lighting has additionally enhanced safety. After the first gas lights were brought in in cities, crime rates fell and motion triggered outdoor LED lighting or outdoor wall lighting is now often made use of by homeowners outside of their property to discourage burglars. Fire rated downlights have also been developed which can prevent your ceiling from collapsing in the case of a fire.

Lighting doesn’t just have to be functional; it can also be used for decorative purposes. LED lighting is popular as this means that coloured light can be given off naturally which can make an excellent function for outdoor lighting particularly. Ceiling lighting and wall lights have also been enhanced thanks to new designs which can make your lighting a feature of the room, thanks to options similar to crystal lighting and pendant lighting, and floor lamps are also very popular for homeowners who would like to make a statement.

With the onset of energy efficient lightbulbs, lighting continues in order to develop to fit the new technologies, so who knows what the lighting of the future will consist of.

Watches have been continuously evolving since the 15th century which saw the invention of the portable spring driven clock to the armbanduhren watch of today . With the invention of the mainspring, portable timepieces became possible. Many sources have wrongfully attributed the invention of the mainspring to Peter Henlein, a Nuremberg clockmaker, in 1511. Henlein has also been erroneously attributed with inventing the first ever pocket-watches.

Why have historians looked towards Peter Henlein as the source of the first pocket-watches? It is because of a passage written in 1511 by Johann Cochläus which reads; “Peter Hele, still a young man, fashions works which even the most learned mathematicians admire. He shapes many-wheeled clocks out of small bits of iron, which run and chime the hours without weights for forty hours, whether carried at the breast or in a handbag.” Yet during that period there were numerous German clockmakers fashioning the same timepieces with no evidence to suggest that Henlein was the first.

For many people, one way of getting out of debt is to use money inherited when a family member dies. However, people may not be the greatest beneficiary of many wills.

Researchers have found out that 40 % of people leave more money to their pets than people, with a fifth of men and women leaving the family home to their cat or dog.

A lot of elderly people will have also opted for equity release on their house for their retirement; so many people who had been expecting to inherit a property might not and for that reason will want to look for a different means to fix their cash problems.

As with all things in life you will find there's a beginning, middle and end and though one cannot look ahead and foresee what air conditioning will be like in 100 years’ time, one can look back on the past of it and learn how it all started out.

The concept of air conditioning is known to have originated in Ancient Rome the spot where the aqueduct water was circulated along the walls of houses to keep them chilled.

Similar approaches were set up in medieval Persia where cisterns and wind towers were used to cool buildings down during the hot season. The very first large-scale electrical air conditioning systems wasn’t built and utilized until 1902 by Willis Haviland Carrier in New York.

Modern air con systems have come a long way from 19th century solutions and it is a result of a Chinese inventor called Ding Huane who created a rotary fan. Further history consists of an emperor who had a cool hall in a palacewhich had water-powered fan wheels for air conditioning; and written resources in 1279 reveal that air con rotary fans were also commonly used.

A chemistry professor from 1758 carried out an experiment to exhibit the potential for freezing man on warm days and in 1820 a british scientist found chilled air from compressed ammonia. A Florida physician in 1842 created ice which he utilized to cool patients in a hospital which he then aimed to manage building temperatures but following a smear campaign and insufficient funding, the concept faded way.

Since that time, air conditioning controls temperature in addition to humidity so get your air conditioning maintenance done with the people who understand the past so that you can progress in the future; use Airconco.

Most airlines around the world are raising their luggage and international excess baggage fees, in order to win against the troubling recession.

Hawaiian Airlines is raising the fee it charges for luggage in interisland flights almost double from $10 to $17. The airline is facing a record loss of $50 million in the second quarter of 2011 and so by upping the passenger charges, it hopes to overcome the difficult economic times.

Other airlines are increasing fees also because of the rising cost of jet fuel and as petrol prices have remained really high since 2010, it leaves carriers with a major problem and big concern to overhaul.

Baggage fees is a huge part of an air company’s business; last year alone Hawaiian airlines made in profit $54 million just from baggage fees and US carriers collected $3.4 billion in luggage charges- so stop feeding money into their back pockets and instead use cheap international luggage shipping with 1StopShip.

Don’t be a disappointed traveller who has to fork out most of your holiday money this summer before you’ve even gotten on the plane. Transport your belongings via a groupage container with 1StopShip and save money yourself during the tough economy.
